Importing your existing Ezhelp data file into TipLink Reporter is easy.
Note:
You need to follow the directions for running the TipLink Reporter Utility template to export your application data and import it into TipLink Reporter BEFORE you try to import your Ezhelp data file. The TipLink Reporter Utility template will detect that Ezhelp is installed and integrated into your application and export the relevant data along with your tooltips.
After your application data has been imported, click the Ezhelp tab on the menu.
The TipLink Reporter will change to the main Ezhelp screen (as shown in the previous section).
You can see that there is currently no Ezhelp content.
Note: This display copy of your external data is cleared whenever you re-import your application data, but the actual Ezhelp data file is not touched during a TipLink import of the XML data generated by the utility template.
To import your existing Ezhelp data into the view, click the EZImport button:
Next you will see this screen:
Click the Import the data button to process the import or cancel if you change your mind.
You will see a status of the import during the process and a screen like this when it is complete:
The counter will tell you how many entries from your Ezhelp file were imported.
After the import you will see a side-by-side comparison of the tooltip data exported from your application and the contents of your Ezhelp data file:
